Play, Have Fun, Make a Memory or Make a Friend. Creative Educational Activities for Kids.

CRAFT HISTORY DAY!

Family-friendly set of activities with a goal to help participants engage with African American history and tradition through art-based learning.

Activities Include:

Fabric Postcards (Black American Quiltmaking) We will use Faith Ringgold’s story quilts to guide this project
Coffee Can Drums (Black American and African Drumming)We will use the history of drums and African-inspired dance traditions to guide this project. 
Kente Cloth Paper Weaving (West African Fiber Arts)We will use the history of West African kente cloth to guide this project.

Bring the kids and they can have fun crafting history, experiencing an art tour and being immersed in Storytime. No fuss, all fun and we provide the activities.
